my tunnel

The saturday morning weather forecast was for 32.
So I made this tunnel to cover my tomato, pepper and eggplant plants.
It was 32 and the last plant at the top of the tunnel got nipped a bit. Maybe it will come out of it.
My neighbor has those "walls of water" that are the "proper" way to go, but the price is a bit steep (I can recycle all of these tunnels and use them again and again) so I innovate!.
So we will see how it all works.

What's the brick cigar thingy to the right of the tunnel?

It is a project that is not finished.
I want maximum versatility in this garden, so it will have a rain-bird impact sprinkler on top that can be charged with city water or ditch water.
Below that I intend to have a city water valve, with a hose attached.
With the hose and spray head I can hand water any bed in the garden.
I'll get all of that in soon!

ooh, maybe I missed your point.
Could you see my cold frame? I did a remodel and ended up with two windows, so I made the frame and use the windows on top for a winter salad garden.
I ran a picture or two of it a LONG time ago.
