cancer

My closest friend has cancer.

Not a little one on the back of his neck, but something uglier deep inside his gut. Surgery today. The cancer was worse than they had hoped for.The Urologist did his best.

Early next week he'll get the report from the Pathologist and find out how aggressive this monster really is.

Until then we wait and think and think.

I stopped to see him after I returned from the AD support group today. He was out of pain, but he was troubled. Of course, he was. So fast he has gone from radiant health to this.

Still, we don't know what "this" is.

His wife was upbeat. She has taken care of and then buried both of her parents in the last few years. There are times when the worse looking events turn out to be not so bad.

I pray this is one of those times.
