Dallas

The only city I ever "hung around" in was Dallas, Texas (there is a Dallas Oregon as well).
This was taken a few years ago. My guess is that not too much has changed except for the logos on the buildings.
But among those tall very modern buildings, are two churches. Not remotely modern, but making their presence known by their distinctive looks.

Hey Dave, I couldn't resist and figured you'd be interested. There is a Dallas in all of the following states: Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon, Penn., So. Dakota, W. VA, Wisconsin, as well as TX. Plus Dallas Plantation, Maine and Ft. Dallas, FL.

The name really isn't that exciting. Wonder why so many?

Love the picture with the churches making their statement amongst the steel and concrete.

sometimes you think they just ran out of names!
oregon has a Dallas and a The Dalles. Talk about confusion.

Dallas was named for a Vice-President...
the name itself is Gaelic for Dales, like over hill, over dale.
Hi dave! I live in Fort Worth.
I came by via Lily. my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimers in 1974 at the ripe old age of 57. He passed in 1988.
I have enjoyed reading about you and Miriam.
